About GPA

How GPA is calculated

Each grade has a point value (A=4.0, B=3.0, and so on). Multiply each by the course's credit hours, add them up, and divide by total credits.

Weighting by credits

A high grade in a 4-credit course affects your GPA more than the same grade in a 1-credit course, which is why credits matter.
