Morse code encodes characters as sequences of dots (.) and dashes (-). Developed for the telegraph in the 1800s, it's still used in aviation, amateur radio and emergencies because it can be sent by sound, light or tapping.

All 26 letters, digits 0–9, and common punctuation (period, comma, question mark, slash and more) are supported in both directions.
