About Business Days

Why business days matter

Project deadlines, SLAs and payment terms are usually measured in working days, not calendar days. This tool counts Monday–Friday and subtracts recognised public holidays.

Holiday calendars

Pick US federal holidays (with weekend observation rules) or UK bank holidays (including Good Friday and Easter Monday, computed automatically). Or choose weekends-only to ignore holidays.

What it reports

You get the number of business days, the total calendar days (inclusive) and how many public holidays fell in the range.

Frequently asked questions

Are both the start and end dates counted?

The range is inclusive of both endpoints; weekends and selected holidays are then removed from the working-day total.

Which holidays are included?

US: the 11 federal holidays with Saturday/Sunday observation. UK: England & Wales bank holidays including Easter-based dates.

Can I count weekends only?

Yes — choose "Weekends only" to ignore holidays entirely.
