About Discord Timestamp

What are Discord timestamps?

Discord lets you post special tags like <t:1700000000:F> that automatically display a date in each viewer's local time zone and language — far better than pasting a fixed time.

The format codes

The letter after the timestamp picks the style: F long date/time, f short, D/d date only, T/t time only, and R for a live relative time like "in 3 hours".

How to use it

Choose your date, copy the tag for the style you want, and paste it into any Discord message. The number is a Unix timestamp, which this tool generates for you.

Frequently asked questions

Will everyone see the same time?
No — and that's the point. Each user sees the timestamp converted to their own time zone automatically.
What does the :R format do?
It shows a relative time that updates live, e.g. "in 2 days" or "3 hours ago".
Do I need a bot?
No. These tags work in any normal message you type in Discord.
